Governor's Council Vacancy in District Two

Governor's Council Vacancy in District Two

Governor's Council member Kelly Timilty passed away at the end of January of this year.

Since that time the citizens of District Two have been unrepresented.  Although I have appeared at each of the council meetings and hearings since that time, I am not a member of the council.  I have tried to share what I learn at the council meetings with the public through my website and my facebook account, but that still does not make up for the lack of representation.

The election season started a couple of weeks after her passing and it has been decided to leave her seat open during that time.

I have urged the Governor's Office and each of the representatives in the Senate Districts in District Two to seat the winner of the November Election as soon as possible, rather than waiting until the January inauguration.  Plenty of work occurs in December and I know of no reason that the seat for District Two should remain vacate during that period.
