Monday- August 29, 2011

Fire, Other- 12:17 p.m.

Haven Street- Caller reported 12 inches of water in her basement. Officer reported that the fire department will handle the problem.

Wire(s) Down- 12:21 p.m.

Riga Road and Rocky Brook Road- Caller reported electrical line down on Riga Road.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 4:19 p.m.

Betsy Lane and Colonial Road- Caller stated that his bicycles on the roof of his vehicle snagged a Verizon utility line and took it down. Bicycles and roof rack were also damaged. Caller advised to follow crash report.

 

Tuesday- August 30, 2011

Well Being Check- 7:52 a.m.

Farm Street- Officer reported a large tree down at the entrance of a driveway. Higway Department removed hazard.

Breaking and Entering- 1:59 p.m.

Hartford Street- Party reported that his barn was possibly broken into. Officer took a report and will pass the info. to a detective.

Assist Citizen- 5:10 p.m.

Old Meadow Road- Reporting party wants to know why there were cones in front of her driveway. Officer reported that they were put there so the downed wires wouldn't get caught on a vehicle. Reporting party said she will continue to drive over the wires and had moved the cones.

 

Wednesday- August 31, 2011

Harassing Phone Calls- 2:15 p.m.

Snow's Hill Lane- Corporation security reported harassing phone calls being made to employees/residents.

Trespass, Arrest(s) Made -5:46 p.m.

Junction Street, D-S High School- Detective reported a party that was trespassed from school property is on the property in someone else's vehicle. Officer located party. Secured vehicle and transported party back to the police station.

Domestic Disturbance- 7:58 p.m.

Strawberry Hill Street- 911 hang up call. On call back, a male answered the phone and the officer could hear a female screaming in the background saying "you hit me in the face." Officers spoke to the parties involved. Report to be filed.

 

Thursday- September 1, 2011

Animal Complaint- 9:12 a.m.

Centre Street and Hunt Drive- Officer located deceased owl in the roadway. Animal collected and placed in freezer. Animal Control Officer notified.

Suspicious Activity- 9:35 p.m.

Yorkshire Road- Resident reported a threatening note was left in his mailbox.

Identity Theft- 2:59 p.m.

Main Street- Walk-in reported his American Express card was compromised. Suspect attempted to make purchases of $800 online.

 

Friday- September 2, 2011

General Info.- 10:41 a.m.

Walpole Street- NSTAR manager stated that under 100 residents are still without power and that power should be restored by that night.

 

Saturday- September 3, 2011

Suspicious Activity- 3:46 p.m.

Valley Road- Party reported that a vehicle was parked in front of a vacant house. Two parties were seen standing on the property. Parties took off on a bicycle. Officers will return later to check the area.

Tree Down- 4:24 p.m.

Valley Road- Officer reported that a large tree branch is laying on a primary wire. NSTAR notified.

 

Sunday- September 4, 2011

Suspicious Activity- 12:45 a.m.

Dedham Street, Dover Library- Officer checked on two parties in lot. Parties are hobby metal detecting.

Medical Emergency- 2:49 p.m.

Centre Street- Reported party reported an infant walking in the road by the Centre Street bridge. Child was alone and in a diaper. Officer reported that there was no infant and the situation had been resolved. Officer reported that the child was autistic and got away from the house. He was returned to the parents' care.

 

Monday- September 5, 2011

Motor Vehicle Stop- 3:56 p.m.

Walpole Street and Woodland Road- Written warning for speeding and no inspection sticker.

 

Tuesday- September 6, 2011

Medical Emergency- 12:09 a.m.

Oak Circle- Caller reported her husband had been throwing up since 7:00 p.m. Patient transported to Caritas Norwood Hospital.
