Monday- August 8, 2011

Harassing Phone Calls- 8:30 p.m.

Sterling Drive- Caller reported receiving multiple phone calls from correctional billing services. She is unable to get the phone calls to stop.

Tree Down- 8:34 p.m.

Sterling Drive- Caller reported a tree limb blocking the roadway. Tree Warden notified and tree limb was removed.

Tuesday- August 9, 2011

Suspicious Activity- 2:52 a.m.

Walpole Street- Individual stated he takes night photos of fields. Party checked ok.

Suspicious Activity- 8:11 p.m.

Wakeland Road- Reporting party reported that there were two vehicles at the end of the road. Reported that kids went into the woods. 

 

Wednesday- August 10, 2011

Utility Complaint- 10:20 a.m.

Walpole Street and Hartford Street- Numerous calls received from residents regarding the loss of Verizon phone, cable, and internet service. Utility outage determined to be associated with Fios splicing taking place on Dedham Street by legitimate Verizon technicians.

Animal Complaint- 4:18 p.m.

Dedham Street- Caller reported a fox that looked sick on the street during the past couple of days. Also, there was a report of a fox near the Chickering School on Monday. Officers will look for the animal and the ACO was notified.

Motor Vehicle Accident- 8:34 p.m.

Wilsondale Street- Caller stated that while she was pulling out of her driveway when a bicycle ran into the door of her vehicle the morning of 8/9/11. Both the vehicle and the bicycle were damaged. The caller transported the cyclist to Brookline in her vehicle and was later informed that the cyclist required stitches to his chin.

 

Thursday- August 11, 2011

Assist Other Agency- 3:48 p.m.

Powissett Street- Westwood PD requested an officer assist with a 7-year-old walk-away from the Hale Reservation Camp.

Animal Complaint- 7:53 p.m.

Willow Street and Cross Street- Motorist reported a black dog was walking in the roadway. Officer checked area.

Harassing Phone Calls- 10:46 p.m.

Partridge Hill Road- Reporting party is a real estate broker for a house being sold on Pine Street and is receiving harassing phone calls from the homeowner's ex-wife. Reporting party wanted a police incident report filed to document the incident. Reporting party stated that is was the second time this week that the ex-wife had called and harassed her over the phone.

 

Friday- August 12, 2011

Motor Vehicle Stop- 6:23 p.m.

Springdale Avenue- Verbal warning issued for a marked lanes violation.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 9:53 p.m.

Pleasant Street- Verbal warning for failure to dim high beams.

 

Saturday- August 13, 2011

Found/Recovered Property- 4:14 p.m.

Valley Road- Party turned in a knife that was found in the area.

Vandalism- 6:01 p.m.

Carby Street, Hale Reservation- Officer reported that a vehicle drove over a chain gate and broke the post. Officer determined that the property is in Westwood.

 

Sunday- August 14, 2011

Vandalism- 12:10 a.m.

Rocky Brook Road- Officer reported that the road has toilet paper around multiple houses and was believed to have happened within the hour.

Power Failure- 11:14 a.m.

Wakeland Road- Reporting party stated that he heard a loud bang and the power is out on Wakeland Road. Officer reported that a transformer had blown.

Suspicious Activity- 11:11 p.m.

Pond Street- Reporting party stated that his door bell was rung and that no one was around when he answered the door. Officer searched the area.

 

Monday- August 15, 2011

Assist Citizen- 7:28 a.m.

Knollwood Drive- Resident stated that there was a loud bullhorn alarm from within her house that woke her up. Co2 alarm went off. Car was left running in the garage.
