Monday- March 19, 2012

Fraud- 2:57 p.m.

Pegan Lane- A resident stated that she received a fraudulent credit card phone call, offering her a lower interest rate. The party was told to notify her credit card companies as a precaution.

Tuesday- March 20, 2012

Tree Down- 4:32 p.m.

Dedham Street and Cross Street- Reporting party stated there was a tree limb across the road on Dedham Street. Officer checked the area and removed the hazard to the side of the road.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 8:52 p.m.

Walpole Street and Pinewood Road- Written warning issue to the owner for speeding.

 

Wednesday- March 21, 2012

Motor Vehicle Stop- 10:25 a.m.

Meadowbrook Road- Criminal application issued for no inspection sticker, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, operating after revocation of registration and attaching wrong registration plates.

Suspicious Activity- 5:08 p.m.

Powissett Street- Reporting party stated that two strangers were attempting to build a fire on the property of a house that is empty and for sale. Sergeant Meau reported that the two men had permission from the home owner to conduct a religious burn. The burn was contained in a fire pit and and water was on stand by. Both parties checked ok.

General Info- 6:09 p.m.

Centre Street- An anonymous caller reported that kids were jumping off of the railroad bridge on Centre Street. Sergeant Meau spoke with the youths and advised them to stay off the bridge and not to come back.

 

Thursday- March 22, 2012

Alarm, Burglar- 8:34 a.m.

County Street, NSTAR electric facility- A Verizon technician called and indicated an attempted copper theft. Turned out to be a legitimate crew working onsite.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 11:37 p.m.

Hartford Street- Written warning issued for speeding.

 

Friday- March 23, 2012

Motor Vehicle Stop, Arrest Made- 7:40 a.m.

Centre Street and Haven Street-Arrest made for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

Complaint- 10:31 a.m.

Walpole Street, Dover Post Office- A caller reported a verbal altercation between a protester and a pedestrian. No physical or verbal threats made. Peace restored.

Complaint- 12:12 p.m.

Walpole Street, Dover Post Office- Caller reported that the post office stop sign was obstructed by a protester sign affixed to it. Officer checked signage and spoke to the protesters. Nothing was affixed to or was obstructing the post office signage.

Fire, Brush- 2:13 p.m.

Walpole Street- A caller reported a brush fire next to residence. Fire extinguished.

Suspicious Activity- 3:18 p.m.

Pleasant Street- A passing motorist stated that there was a man with a yellow shirt and black pants opening mailboxes. He was observed walking toward the Natick line.

Complaint- 4:14 p.m.

Walpole Street, Dover Post Office- A female party walked into the station demanding that the Obama protesters be removed from the front of the post office. She was advised that they would not be removed due to their first amendment rights.

Operating Under the Influence, Arrest Made- 10:03 p.m.

Mill Street- Reporting party stated that he observed a black motor vehicle off to the side of the road. The reporting party spoke to the operator who stated that he was waiting for AAA. Officer Clouse reported one in custody for OUI liquor.

 

Saturday- March 24, 2012

Motor Vehicle Stop- 2:44 p.m.

Centre Street, Dover Cemetery- Written warning issued for inspection sticker.

 

Sunday- March 25, 2012

Assist Citizen- 10:39 a.m.

Walpole Street- A resident was locked out of his vehicle and needed a phone to notify his wife to retrieve a second set of keys. Assisted.

 

Monday- March 26, 2012

Motor Vehicle Stop- 8:00 a.m.

Hartford Street- Written warning issued for speeding.
