Monday- April 25, 2011

Centre Street, Dover Cafe & Deli- Reporting party states that a small 2-year-old child was walking along the front side of the Dover Cafe and nearly walked into traffic. Party intervened and found the mother. Officer responded to scene and the mother and child were gone on arrival.

Animal Lost/Missing- 11:48 p.m.

Centre Street- Officer spoke with reporting party who had found a dog at the intersection of Centre Street and Old Centre Street and was attempting to locate the owner. Dog had a 2011 rabies tag from Palm Beach County Florida. Dog was picked up the next day.

 

Tuesday- April 26, 2011

Animal Complaint- 6:49 a.m.

Centre Street- Calling party reports a loose horse walking down Centre Street toward Medfield. Officers checked Centre Street and surrounding areas from town center to Medfield line and were unable to locate animal.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 7:24 a.m.

Centre Street, Dover Cafe & Deli- Motor vehicle stop. Verbal warning issued to involved party in a road rage incident.

Harassing Phone Calls- 12:31 p.m.

Yorkshire Road- Resident requests an officer assist her with harassing  phone calls received (money having been solicited). Officer assisted.

 

Wednesday- April 27, 2011

Erratic Operation- 4:40 a.m.

County Street- Reporting party reports an erratic operator traveling in excess of 60 mph on Rt. 109 heading towards Dedham. 

Animal Complaint- 8:15 a.m.

Springdale Avenue, Channing Pond- Caller states that there is an injured duck in the roadway. Officer check area, animal was gone on arrival.

 

Thursday- April 28, 2011

Motor Vehicle Crash- 8:37 a.m.

Centre Street- Resident states that he had just been involved in a crash while driving in the area of the Most Precious Blood Church. Resident further stated that a deer ran into the passenger side of his vehicle and then took off into the woods. Major damage rendered to the front passenger side panel, the passenger side window was also shattered. No people were injured.

Breaking and Entering Daytime- 12:34 p.m.

Centre Street- Resident states that he believes someone may have broken into his home. Party reports a broken window. Ashland PD K9 unit contacted. K9 led officers to a specific location and parties were questioned.

 

Friday- April 29, 2011

Complaint- 11:50 a.m.

Knollwood Drive- Resident states that a child care worker was let go and failed to return the house key. Resident requests officers keep an eye on the property.

Burglary- 3:35 p.m.

Haven Street- Reporting party reports she arrived home to find the house broken into. Officers checked house and spoke with owner and surrounding neighbors.

Suspicious Activity- 5:26 p.m.

Oak Circle- Reporting party reports a vehicle on her property and does not know who it belongs to. Officer checked the area, spoke with reporting party who said the vehicle left the area. Described as a dark Audi with tinted windows.

 

Saturday- April 30, 2011

Suspicious Activity- 10:11 a.m.

Strawberry Hill Street- Caller reports that on Wednesday or Thursday of this past week, lights were on at his mother's residence. No one should have been present at the house. Extra checks requested.

 

Sunday- May 1, 2011

Lost/Missing Property- 7:48 a.m.

Farm Street- Caller reports copper top from the solar light near the road on his house is missing. The light is valued at $100.

Animal Complaint- 7:13 p.m.

Grand Hill Drive- Reporting party states she was walking her dog with a friend on Grand Hill Drive when they spotted what they believe to be a rabid fox in the area. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate.

 

Monday- May 2, 2011

Directed Patrol- 12:58 a.m.

Buttercup Lane- Officer reports area appears secure.
