Monday - Oct. 24, 2011

Motor Vehicle Stop – 9:01 a.m.

An officer made a motor vehicle stop on County Street, gave a verbal warning to the driver for an expired vehicle inspection sticker and issued citations for seatbelt violations for both the driver and passenger.  The officer then arrested the passenger for an outstanding warrant.

Reporting officer states there was an older possible black SUV parked near Massachusetts Horticulural Society on Turtle Lane on Elm Bank property near a picnic table.  The officer notified MA Horticultural Society who checked the area with no results. 

Tuesday – Oct. 25, 2011

Suspicious Activity – 9:31 a.m.

Party reported a white Chevy suburban parked at the end of the cul-de-sac and two men seen walking into the woods.  Officer checked out, two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were surveying the area.

Wednesday – Oct. 26, 2011

Domestic Disturbance - 12:38 a.m.

Caller requested to know his rights after his wife poured a very cold drink on him.  Wife then got on the phone and stated she felt threated and would like officers to respond.  Officers transported one in custody to the station.  Then provided a courtesy transport to ATM. Party was released on bail and officers accompanied him to his house to pick up belongings. 

Lock out/Lock in – 9:52 a.m.         

Caller requested assistance on Ledgewood Drive with a vehicle lock out where a two year-old child was in the car.  Officer gained access.

Thursday – Oct. 27, 2011

Tree down 10:15 p.m.

Reporting officer reported a tree down by 3 Riga Rd. The Tree Warden was notified and the hazard was removed

Friday – Oct. 28, 2011

Tree Down -1:05 a.m.

Multiple callers on Crest Drive reported a tree fell on a wire causing the pole to catch fire. Officer reported that the fire had gone out. NStar was notified and the area was coned off for the night.

Found/ Lost property – 8:57 p.m.

Motor vehicle found funning in student parking at Lindquist Commons and Junctions St. Officer reported there was no one around. Officer shut off the engine and took the keys. 

Saturday – Oct. 29, 2011

Lost/Missing property -3:30 p.m.

At the MA Horitcultural Society on Turtle Lane a caller reported that she lost her purse sometime on during the day. The purse contained an iPhone, VA driver’s license and several credit cards.  The caller was advised to cancel her credit cards and request a new license. The purse was described as black leather and about the size of a cell phone. 

Noise Complaint - 8:25 p.m.

A resident called to report a loud party in the area.  Officers located party and spoke with resident. The resident agreed to lower the volume.

Sunday – Oct. 30, 2011

Fire, Other -2:21 p.m.

At the corner of Church Street and Haven Street, an officer reported that Church Street is coned off at Haven and a fire is blocking Springdale at Church.  The fire was reported to be on the wires on the pole.

9-1-1 Call - 4:37 p.m.

Tom from E-911 called to report all 911 trunk lines are out of service. All calls then went to Sherborn Police Department.  Sherborn Police were advised of the situation.
