Dover Police Log: Building Checks

Today's Dover Police Log provides a look at some of the work the Dover Police Department does that doesn't receive as much recognition as when they make an arrest.

Building Checks

Talk to members of the Dover Police Department, and you'll find out that their job isn't simply to wait for somethign bad to happen and then go try to find the bad guy. In fact, arugably their most important job is preventing crime from happening in the first place.

One of the ways in which the Dover Police Department helps prevent crime is by doing building checks throughout the day (and night) of all the town buildings. This includes the Dover Town House, Dover-Sherborn Middle School and Dover-Sherborn High School, among others.

Making sure these buildings are locked and secure when not in use can keep unwanted people from entering and committing crimes.
