Dover Police Log: Driving Warnings and Citations

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. When arrests are mentioned it does not indicate any convictions.

There was a large number of motor vehicle stops on Friday and Saturday. Several warnings were given, but there were citations given as well.

Friday, September 21

There were four vehicles stopped on Friday in Dover. Three received warnings or citations for speeding, while one had an expired inspection sticker.

Saturday, September 22

Eight motor vehicles were stopped in Dover on Saturday with a total of 14 different warnings or citations handed out. The most common law violated was the seat belt law, as five people received citations for not wearing their seat belt. Other violations included speeding (two), marked lanes (1), expired inspection sticker (1), going through a red light (1), wrong plates on the vehicle (1), lights violation (1) and defective equipment (2).
