Dover Police Log: Egg Throwers Vandalize Cars and More

The following is the Dover Police log for last Sunday and Monday. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Sunday, August 26

Littering Complaint (8:51 a.m.) - Officers were called to the area near where Dedham St. and Strawberry Hill St. intersect after it was reported there was someone littering there. Upon arrival, and after a search of the area, officers did not find the ilttering.

Dog in Street (12:50 p.m.) - A caller reported a dog running in the street on Hartford St. The caller was concerned the dog would get hit by a car. The animal control officer was notified. The owner of the dog called and stated that they would come get the dog at the station.

Vandalism by Egg Throwers (10:27 p.m.) - A caller on Meadowbrook Rd. reports that a group of youths threw eggs at his vehicle and then fled in a light blue sedan, possibly a Camry, towards Dover Rd. Needham Police report a similar incident in Winding River Rd. The vehicle in that incident was described as small and light gray, possibly a Camry.

Stolen Bicycle (9:48 a.m.) - A resident of Abbott Rd. calls to report that her bicycle was stolen out of her garage.

Extra Checks Request (6:40 p.m.) - A Boy Scout came in to the Station to report that his sign had been torn down from a tree on a path that leads up to the Powissett Peak. He requested extra checks because his Scout Project is to clean up debris in the area. Officers also advised him to speak to the Trustees regarding a stronger sign.
