Dover Police Log: Family in the House Unannounced

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Log. When an arrest is mentioned there is no indication of a conviction.

Monday, October 8

Larceny (11:54 a.m.) - A resident of Strawberry Hill St. reported that a leaf blower had been taken from his shed the previous weekend. No damage was done to the shed. Information was taken and provided to a detective.

Car v. Mailbox (9:30 a.m.) - A caller from Circle Dr. reported that a black sedan had hit her mailbox at around 7:15 a.m. The mailbox is a Walpole Woodworker's mailbox and is worth a few hundred dollars. The reporting party called back later to say that it was a neighbor who had hit the mailbox and that the neighbor was going to replace it. The caller also declined to name the neighbor.

Front Door Open (3:05 p.m.) - A Main St. resident calls to reports that she is arriving home and her front door is wide open and some lights are on that were not left on in the house when she left. A short while later the reporting party called back to say it was a false alarm as a family member was in the house.
