Dover Police Log: 'Half-Eaten' Deer in Pond

The Dover Police Department provided the following information.

Monday, Feb. 18

8:39 a.m.: An officer reported a tree on the phone wires on Cross Street that could interfere with traffic. Police notified Verizon who said they will send someone to repair it.

3:52 p.m.: A caller stated a deer was injured in her pond. An officer responded and discovered the deer was "half eaten." The officer and the caller agreed nature will take its course. 

5:50 p.m.: A caller reported two black labs "terrorizing" her neighborhood. She said the dogs roam the neighborhood and sometimes go after her. Officers responded to the suspected owner's home but they would not answer the door. Police later made contact and advised the dogs' owner.
