Dover Police Log: Identify Theft
The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. When arrests are mentioned there is no indication of convictions.
Tuesday, October 23
Identity Theft (10:13 a.m.) - A Morningside Dr. resident reports that someone attempted to open a Discover Card account with her information in California. The resident's information was taken and she was told to contact her banks, credit card companies and to check her credit score.
Theft (1:49 p.m.) - A resident on Saddle Ridge Rd. reports that between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. $100-$150 of wood was taken from the delivery pile in his driveway. Extra checks of the area were requested. The officer also tried to see if any neighbors had seen anything, but they weren't home.
