Dover Police Log: Returned Ammunition and Vandalized Stop Sign

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. When arrests are mentioned it does not mean that there has been a conviction.

Sunday, September 2

Ammunition Discovered (10:42 a.m.) - A Circle Dr. resident called to report that while going through things in his house he discovered an old box of shotgun shells. The caller brought them to the station for the police to discard. The shells were placed in the armory.

Vandalized Sign (4:50 p.m.) - The stop sign at the intersection of Draper Rd. and Hartford St. had been vandalized. The police notified the Highway Department the next morning.

Also of Note: The Dover Police Department, along with the Masons, held a free as part of the Dover Days Fair. This is an event that has been done every two years, and each time they get more children participating, according to Officer Jon Cash, who said that they had just under 100 kids this year.
