Dover Police Log: The Dog is Loose

A missing dog, keep an eye on my house and a missing traffic sign. The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, September 5

Suspicious Activity (6:57 a.m.) - A caller from Walpole St. reported that she had bought magazines from a solicitor yesterday and while one of the sellers was in her house he was walking around. She wanted to know if someone could keep an eye on her house.

Dog on the Loose (11:02 a.m.) - A Riga Rd. resident called to say that their dog is on the loose. The dog is described as a male golde retriever who weighs about 90 pounds. He is wearing an invisible fence collar.

Someone Disagreed with the No-Left Turn (7:29 a.m.) - A caller reports that several vehicles have violated the no-left turn traffic signal at the intersection of Centre St. and Whiting Rd. An officer was dispatched to monitor the traffic. Upon arrival, the officer observed that the post was there but the sign was gone. The Highway Department was notified.
