MDA Telethon is Labor Day Weekend

The annual telethon to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is this Sunday, Sept 1 and 9 p.m. on ABC, via a post on the Sherborn Fire Department Facebook Page.

“This is a remarkably hopeful time for MDA and our mission to find new treatments and cures as we set our sights on pursuing muscle health,” said MDA President and CEO Steven Derks in an MDA press release. 

The post itself was a profile of Joe Miller, a young boy named the MDA's Good Will Ambassador.

The International Association of Firefighters is one of the largest supporters of the MDA, according to the IAFF website, members have donated almost $275 million to MDA since 1954.
