Newport Police Log: 10 Weekend Arrests

The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday

  • Richard B. Mounts, 37, of 15 Meeting St., Newport, was cited around 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, for possession of alcohol in public.
  • Natalie Pollard, 29, of 16 Summer St., Newport, was cited around 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, for possession of alcohol in public.
  • Elijah D. Weeden, 18, of Newport, was arrested around 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 for domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism charges.
  • Tiffany A. Johnson, 20, of 90 Girard Ave., Newport, was arrested around 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, for an active warrant.
  • Ian J. Turnball, 24, of 84 Chaucer St., Providence, was arrested around 11:38 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, for DUI, driving without a license and refusal to submit to a chemical test charges.

Saturday

  • Mary C. Magnan, 51, of Middletown, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, for a domestic simple assault charge.
  • Wilson B. William, 47, of 25 Aaron Ave., Bristol, was arrested around 5:39 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, for obstructing and officer and urinating in public charges.

Sunday

  • A 16-year-old Newport boy was arrested around 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, for a simple assault charge.  
  • Antone Mendes, 20, of Taunton, MA, was arrested around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, for a domestic assault charge.
  • Victor D. Lombard, 39, of Newport, was arrested around 7:19 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, for domestic simple assault and domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone charge.
