Monday- Feb. 21, 2011

Dover

Disabled Motor Vehicle- 11:03 a.m.

Dedham Street- Caller requested assistance for his disabled motor vehicle in the roadway. Officer assisted while the vehicle was moved from Dedham Street to Mill Street. Operator waited for AAA.

Animal Complaint- 4:53 p.m.

Village Hill Road- Caller reported that dog on Village Hill is allowed to roam free. Caller stated that he is concerned for the children as the dog is large. 

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Crash- 4:23 p.m.

Stoney Brook Road- Caller reported that his wife was hit by a snow plow.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 6:53 p.m.

Western Avenue and Harrington Ridge Road- Citation issued.

 

Tuesday- Feb. 22, 2011

Dover

Animal Complaint- 4:48 p.m.

Fire Tower, Pine Street- Reporting party said he was bitten by a dog and the dog owner would not give him his name. The white male six feet with blonde hair told the reporting party "his dogs have had their shots and if you follow me I'll do real damage to you." Three small black dogs and one golden retriever were all off their leashes when one of the black ones bit him and broke the skin. Officer located the dog and it's owner. Animal Control Officer notified and will call owner and inform them of the quarantine of ten days.

Mutual Aid- 6:16 p.m.

Farm Road (Sherborn)- Sherborn PD looking for a white male who jumped out of his father's car and is off his medication. Described as a white male, in teens, wearing blue jeans and a maroon hoodie. Officers checked area, nothing showing.

Sherborn

Hazardous Conditions- 12:01 p.m.

Western Avenue and Hollis Street- Rocks in the roadway. Referred to CM&D.

Missing Person- 5:31 p.m.

Caller reported his son has jumped out of the car while he was taking him to the hospital. Son is described as being bi-polar and is off his medications. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a maroon sweatshirt. Subject located at the CM&D building and was taken to the Sherborn Police Department. He was then transported to Metro West Medical Center.

 

Wednesday- Feb. 23, 2011

Dover

Suspicious Activity- 3:44 a.m.

Hartford Street- Caller stated that they arrived home to find the garage door open and the outside lights turned off. Officers checked the residence and all appears ok at this time.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 8:09 a.m.

Centre Street and Knollwood Drive- Motor vehicle stop. Verbal warning issued for drivers side brake light.

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Stop- 5:33 a.m.

Western Avenue- Citation issued.

Traffic Enforcement- 5:48 a.m.

Western Avenue and Brush Hill Road- Citation issued.

 

Thursday- Feb. 24, 2011

Dover

Deer Hit or Killed- 8:00 a.m.

Glen Street- Caller requested assistance with an injured deer. Reporting party called back to report that the deer took off into the woods.

Fraud- 12:09 p.m.

Dover Market, Springdale Avenue- Party reported that they received a counterfeit $20 bill.

Sherborn

Complaint- 1:20 p.m.

Forest Street- Caller reported that she was walking her dog on this property when it came across a dead deer. Caller reported that the dog ate some of the deer and got sick. Caller is concerned that someone is poisoning animals. Animal Control Officer said that the property is private and Animal Control was hunting and trapping in the area.

Animal Complaint- 6:46 p.m.

South Main Street- Reporting party states that they struck a deer on South Main Street.

 

Friday- Feb. 25, 2011

Dover

Hazardous Condition- 10:32 a.m.

Farm Street and Springdale Avenue-Officer reported there was a large limb hanging from a tree into the road making the road impassible to traffic. Officer was able to remove hazard.

Complaint- 2:01 p.m.

Hartford Street- Reporting party came in and stating that he had been accused of theft by another resident at the location and he was in fear for his life. Reporting party's information was taken and referred to Detective Hagan. Detective Hagan called and the reporting party stated that the issued had been resolved and that it was a misunderstanding. Reporting party refused to elaborate. Case closed.

Sherborn

Utility Complaint- 1:48 p.m.

Prospect Street- Reporting party said that a pole was "on fire." NStar was requested for immediate response to smoking/arching wires. 

Hazardous Conditions- 3:07 p.m.

Goulding Street East- Reporting party stated that tree limbs/branches were in the roadway, hazardous for one lane. Remaining debris removed from roadway.

 

Saturday- Feb. 26, 2011

Dover

Erratic Operation- 11:17 a.m.

Centre Street- Caller reported that a vehicle was traveling in excess of 70 m.p.h. and crossing over the center line and tailgating vehicles. Officers checked the area and the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Lost/Missing Property- 12:21 p.m.

Centre Street- 6 missing rings from residence.

Sherborn

Found/Lost Property- 10:33 a.m.

Walk-in- Reporting party turned in a license plate found on the side of the road. RMV check found that the plate belonged to a plow subcontracted by the Town of Sherborn. Owner notified.

Erratic Operation- 6:25 p.m.

Washington Street and Greenwood Street- Citation issued for reportedly crossing the double yellow line.

 

Sunday- Feb. 27, 2011

Dover

Disabled Motor Vehicle- 5:46 a.m.

Walpole Street and Powissett Street- Calling party reported he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a snow bank. There were no injuries or damage to the vehicle. Officer on location was able to remove vehicle from the snow bank.

Motor Vehicle Complaint- 1:17 p.m.

Walpole Street and Centre Street- Walk-in reported that he was tailgated by a vehicle inbound the entire length of Walpole Street. He turned right onto Centre Street and let the vehicle pass him by traveling in the oncoming lane of traffic.

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Crash- 6:21 a.m.

Washington Street- Vehicle hit a guard rail. No people were injured. Very minor damage. Officers assisted vehicle/operator bcd onto the road.

Disabled Motor Vehicle- 11:00 a.m.

South Main Street and Barakat Lane- Flat tire moved to Barakat Lane. AAA notified.

 

Monday- Feb. 28, 2011

Dover

Road Condition(s)- 6:27 a.m.

Officers reported that roads are beginning to become icy. Highway department notified.

Assist Other Agency- 7:20 a.m.

Dover Road and Main Street- Needham requested that Dover Road traffic be diverted down Main Street while they clear accidents on Charles River Road. Officers assisted with traffic.

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Crash- 6:42 a.m.

Whitney Street and Whitney Drive- Operator hit a telephone pole and was taken to Metro West Medical Center for injuries.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 7:29 a.m.

South Main Street and Bullard Street- Vehicle rolled over. No injuries.
