Monday- Feb. 7, 2011

Dover

Drug Law Violation- 7:20 a.m.

Powder House Road- Reporting party stated that there were three vehicles parked at the end of the cul de sac. The three young operators were all in one vehicle smoking something. Officer spoke with the youths and gave them a verbal warning.

Animal Complaint- 9:05 a.m.

Hartford Street- Caller stated that there was a black panther with a long tail walking in the woods. Reporting party said the tracks were located by 5 Hartford Street. No animal was located and the track were lost. Animal control notified, believes the animal was a fisher cat.

Motor Vehicle Complaint- 1:13 p.m.

Walpole Street and Powissett Street- Caller reported that the vehicle in front of her had a young child in the bed of the truck. The vehicle was stopped on Farm Street. Operator and child spoken to. Parent thought that the child was in the truck. Parent placed the child in the back seat.

Medical Emergency- 2:14 p.m.

Haven Terrace- Calling party states that she has impaled her toe with a toothpick.

Missing Person- 10:37 p.m.

Meadowbrook Road- Officer from Manchester, VT Police Department called to report a former resident of Dover has left Manchester, where he now lives, and may have bought a bus ticket to return to the Dover area. The missing person has some mental issues. Manchester said to be on the lookout for Barham Rostamnezhad.

9-1-1 Medical Emergency- 6:56 a.m.

Goulding Street East- Referred to the Fire Department.

Fire- 10:28 a.m.

Butler Street- Referred to Community Maintenance and Development.

 

Tuesday- Feb. 8, 2011

Dover

Medical Emergency- 1:45 a.m.

Pine Street- Calling party stated that her fingers, hand, and arm have become swollen. EMS dispatched. Person was transported to Beth Israel Hospital in Needham by ambulance. Neighbor arrived at the residence to take care of children.

Utility Complaint- 6:37 a.m.

Tower Drive and Cedar Hill Road- Reporting party stated that there was a telephone pole at the corner with a tree branch on it and that the wires were sparking. Officer on location reported that the pole has a tree branch on top of it. The pole was not sparking at the time. NSTAR notified.

Suspicious Activity- 9:50 p.m.

Rolling Lane- Reporting party stated that there was a vehicle that had been driving slowly past the house about five times. Caller states that they believe the vehicle was a black BMW but was not sure. Officers on location searched the area and did not locate any vehicles in the area. Daughter of the caller reported that the vehicle was in the area a couple weeks ago around the same time.

Burglar Alarm- 9:04 a.m.

Butler Street- Referred to Community Maintenance and Development.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 3:28 p.m.

Eliot Street- Citiation Issued.

 

Wednesday- Feb. 9, 2011

Dover

Motor Vehicle Crash- 8:03 a.m.

Pine Street- Motor vehicle crash with personal injury and entrapment. Medfield ambulance notified. Citation issued for impeding the opposite lane and marked lane violation. One transported to Beth Israel Hospital in Needham. Both vehicles towed.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 3:49 p.m.

Washington Street and Pine Street- Calling party reported that his daughter was in a motor vehicle accident in Wellesley and  that there was a man harassing her. Wellesley Police notified.

Deer Hit or Killed- 5:05 p.m.

Haven Street- Calling party stated that there was a dead deer located near the road by his house.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 8:07 a.m.

Coolidge Street and North Main Street- Officers investigated.

Burglar Alarm- 1:02 a.m.

Ivy Lane- Checked OK.

 

Thursday- Feb. 10, 2011

Dover

Deer Hit or Killed- 8:38 a.m.

Dedham Street and Strawberry Hill Street- Report of a motor vehicle crash with a deer. No people injured.

Deer Hit or Killed- 10:04 p.m.

Miller Hill Road- Reporting party stated there was an injured deer on Miller Hill Road. Officer reported that the deer had left the area on its own.

Burglar Alarm- 12:52 a.m.

Maple Street- Checked OK.

Burglar Alarm- 8:41 a.m.

Butler Street- Referred to Community Maintenance and Development.

 

Friday- Feb. 11, 2011

Dover

Medical Emergency- 1:54 a.m.

Ledgewood Drive- 9-1-1 hangup. On callback, 49-year-old male had difficulty breathing. Westwood medics assisted. Man was transported to Norwood Hospital.

General Services- 1:41 p.m.

Chickering Drive- Caller requested that an officer be present when her husband came to the house. Officer remained on scene to keep the peace. No issues occurred.

Animal Lost/Missing- 9:40 p.m.

High Rock Road- Caller reported two huskies in her yard. She stated that they had been in the area for several hours. Medfield notified and the dogs were missing from their town. Owner notified of the dogs' location. All OK.

9-1-1 Motor Vehicle Crash- 7:00 a.m.

Western Avenue and Washington Street- Patrol Activity.

Burglar Alarm- 9:36 a.m.

Maple Street- False Alarm.

 

Saturday- Feb. 12, 2011

Dover

Disturbance- 12:33 p.m.

Strawberry Hill Road- Calling party reported a family dispute. Authorities responded for a medical evaluation. Party transported to Metro West Natick Hospital.

Animal Complaint- 11:54 p.m.

Glen Street- Two callers reported that a deer with broken legs was observed in the roadway.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 1:28 a.m.

Western Avenue- Court complaint.

9-1-1 Call- 10:03 a.m.

Woodland Street- Checked OK.

 

Sunday- Feb. 13, 2011

Dover

Erratic Operation- 12:42 p.m.

Pine Street- Caller reported that a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling at a high rate of speed passed him on Pine Street, nearly hitting him. The vehicle was said to have had a Marine Corps sticker on the rear window and was traveling toward the center of town.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 10:30 p.m.

Dedham Street- Verbal warning issued for headlight.

9-1-1 Motor Vehicle Crash- 1:52 a.m.

Mill Street- Arrest(s) made.

9-1-1 Medical Emergency- 4:28 a.m.

Old Orchard Road- Referred to the Fire Department.

 

Monday- Feb. 14, 2011

Dover

Deer Hit or Killed- 5:42 a.m.

Glen Street- Caller reported that there was a deer with a broken leg wandering around the area. Officers were unable to locate the deer, may have gone back into the woods.

Building Check- 6:06 a.m.

D-S Middle School, Farm Street- Officer reported that there was a vehicle parked in front of the Middle School, believed to belong to a custodian.

Traffic Control- 8:06 a.m.

Pine Hill School- Initiated traffic control.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 9:33 a.m.

Hollis Street and Mill Street- Information taken.
