Larceny/Forgery/Fraud- 12:00 p.m.

Walpole Street- Resident came into Dover PD with legal representation to request information on what should be done about an incident of larceny by check.

Deer Hit or Killed- 8:15 p.m.

Dedham Street- Report of a deer struck. Deer was dead on arrival.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 8:25 a.m.

South Main Street- Investigated.

 

Wednesday- Jan. 12, 2011

Dover

Tree Down- 5:28 a.m.

Chickering Drive and Trout Brook Road- Reports of a tree down from the storm. Highway department was able to remove the tree to make the road passable again.

Wires Down- 5:57 a.m.

Rolling Lane- Caller reports he saw a wire down near Bryant Lane. Wires down across the road making the road impassable.

Tree Down- 6:39 a.m.

Dedham Street and Hutton Road- Branch broken off and blocking the roadway.

Hazardous Condition- 7:30 a.m.

Normandie Road- Caller states tree down on wires. Roadway impassable.

Tree Down- 9:07 a.m.

Whiting Road- Officer reports tree in road.

Fire- 9:34 a.m.

Centre Street- Walk in reports pole fire. Fire self-extinguished.

Wire(s) Down- 10:10 a.m.

Juniper Lane- Fire Department reports arching wires. Fire Dept. cleared scene.

Wire(s) Down- 10:13 a.m.

Turtle Lane- Caller states that there is a limb down on the wires and that there is sparking and flames by the wires. Limb on wires grounding and causing wires to arch out.

Wire(s) Down- 12:00 p.m.

Centre Street- Wires hanging so low that roadway is impassable.

Wire(s) Down- 2:39 p.m.

Old Meadow Road and Walpole Street- Transformer on pole blew. Tree limb on power lines.

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Stop- 8:44 a.m.

Elliot Street and Lake Street- Motor Vehicle stop for excessive speed. Officer reported green Volkswagen traveling at speeds of 50+ m.p.h. A resident of Farm Street further down the road reported vehicle estimated going at speeds of 70 m.p.h. Citation issued for operating to endanger.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 2:19 p.m.

North Main Street and Butler Street- Officers assisted.

 

Thursday- Jan. 13, 2011

Dover

Fire- 1:31 a.m.

Turtle Lane- Caller states utility line on fire in front of house. Dover Fire cleared scene.

Animal Complaint- 10:50 a.m.

Turtle Lane- Caller states that while walking her dog on Buttercup Lane a dog came out of a driveway and tried to attack her, biting her boot- no injury sustained. Her dog then got in between her and the attacking dog. Her dog sustained bites to the neck that penetrated the skin and caused bleeding. Attacked dog was brought to Highland Animal Hospital.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 2:30 p.m.

Laurel Farms Recreation Fields, North Main Street- Officers investigated.

911 Medical Emergency- 7:00 p.m.

South Main Street- Sherborn Police assisted.

 

Friday- Jan. 14, 2011

Dover

Motor Vehicle Crash- 8:06 a.m.

Centre Street and Walpole Street- Motorist reports motor vehicle crash in center of town. Officer located parties in library parking lot. There were no injuries and the damage was under $1000.

Tree Down- 5:33 p.m.

Walpole Street- Walk in reports tree branch sticking out into travel lane which cause damage to the vehicle's right mirror. Branch was removed with a chainsaw.

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Stop- 1:32 p.m.

South Main Street and Barakat Lane- Citation issued.

Fire Alarm- 5:21 p.m.

McGregor Drive- Referred to Fire Department.

 

Saturday- Jan. 15, 2011

Dover

Operating Under the Influence- 1:54 a.m.

Hartford Street- Caller states unknown plow contacted his garage causing damage. Officers arrested someone for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Motor Vehicle Leave Scene Property Damage- 9:25 a.m.

Centre Street Bridge- Caller reports while utility van struck her mirror as they were passing on the bridge. Van was inbounds towards Dover. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the van.

Drug Law Violation- 2:35 p.m.

Mass. Horticultural Society, Turtle Lane- Caller reports four youths smoking marijuana near the hill at Elm Bank. Officers were unable to locate any youths in the area.

Sherborn

Fire Alarm- 9:32 a.m.

Wildwood Drive- Sherborn PD assisted.

911 Erratic Operation- 9:45 a.m.

South Main Street and Sanger Street- Vehicle was gone on arrival.

 

Sunday- Jan. 16, 2011

Dover

General Info- 10:23 a.m.

Dover Police Department, Walpole Street- Officer reports water leaking from the ceiling in the Fire locker room. It is believed the leakage is due to the roof needing to be shoveled off.

Tree Down- 8:03 p.m.

Wilsondale Street- Caller reports a tree leaning on power lines. Large pine tree is putting stress on the wires. 

Sherborn

Burglar Alarm- 10:55 a.m.

Forest Street- Alarm was accidental.

911 Medical Emergency- 6:44 p.m.

Ash Lane- Sherborn Police assisted.

 

Monday- Jan. 17, 2011

Dover

Assist Citizen- 4:09 p.m.

Hilltop Road- Caller concerned her house is not properly secured. Officers checked and reported that it is secure.

Fire Alarm- 5:21 p.m.

Tisdale Drive- Fire alarm activation. Home owner called and said that food was left on the stove. False alarm.

Sherborn

Motor Vehicle Stop- 2:50 a.m.

Washington Street- Citation issued.

Motor Vehicle Stop- 9:23 p.m.

Coolidge Street and Kendall Avenue- Citation issued.

 

Tuesday- Jan. 18, 2011

Dover

Motor Vehicle Stop- 6:35 a.m.

Walpole Street- Verbal warning for stop sign violation.

Motor Vehicle Crash- 7:45 a.m.

Dover-Sherborn High School, Junction Street- Medfield requests that the area of the high school be checked for a possible vehicle off the roadway. Medfield did find a minor accident at Harding Street and Evergreen Way.

Sherborn 

911 Motor Vehicle Crash- 8:36 a.m.

North Main Street and Everett Street- Court Complaint.

911 Motor Vehicle Crash- 9:06 a.m.

Western Avenue and Stevens Lane- Sherborn Police assisted.
