Monday- July 11, 2011

Dover

Animal Complaint- 6:12 p.m.

Pine Street- Officer reported finding a Basset Hound (without a collar or tags) in the middle of the road. Officer captured animal and put it in the crate. Animal Control Officer notified.

Trespass- 9:22 p.m.

Powissett Street, Grossman Day Camp- Grossman security guard reported youths were trespassing on the property. Involved parties have stolen the paddle boats and are crossing over to Powissett Beach. Boats were recovered but the youths were gone on arrival and were believed to have taken off into the woods. Officer located youths coming from the woods to the a parked motor vehicle and determined that they were the involved parties. Vehicle was secured and the youths were brought to the station to be picked up by their parents.

Sherborn

Animal Complaint- 8:58 p.m.

Hunting Lane- Bat in the house. Animal Control Officer assisted and removed. Bat not to be tested for rabies per Animal Control Officer.

 

Tuesday- July 12, 2011

Dover

Suspicious Activity- 8:30 a.m.

Haven Street- Resident stated that he has located two plastic containers with a peanut butter mixture in his yard. One was located in his front yard by the road and the second was retrieved from his dog's mouth. The resident believes that someone may be trying to poison his dogs and is going to have the mixture tested.

General Offense- 11:31 a.m.

Springdale Avenue- Resident reported that her ex-husband stole items from the garage when she was away on vacation.

Sherborn

Hazardous Conditions- 5:56 a.m.

Lake Street- Large tree blocking one lane of travel. CM&D notified. Tree removed.

Complaint- 11:59 a.m.

Everett Street- Caller reported the home owner is not letting him get his tools from a job site. Reporting party was told he will be able to pick up his tools at a later date with an Officer.

 

Wednesday- July 13, 2011

Dover

Animal Complaint- 8:26 a.m.

Main Street- Resident requested assistance with their cat which was up in a neighbor's tree. The cat is too high up to be reached by a ladder and the tree cannot be accessed by any other means. Resident will attempt to entice the cat with treats.

Assist Citizen- 1:18 p.m.

Riverview Terrace- Resident requested that the department dispose of some old ammunition that he found. Items taken from party.

Sherborn

Larceny/Fogery/Fraud- 7:29 a.m.

Harrington Ridge Road- Reporting party stated that plants were taken from their property.

Animal Complaint- 10:15 a.m.

Pine Hill Lane, Pine Hill School- Report of a sick fox in the area of the Pine Hill School. Fox gone on arrival. Parties in area notified to call if located again.

 

Thursday- July 14, 2011

Dover

Bicycle Complaint- 6:48 p.m.

Centre Street- Walk-in stated that as she was traveling down Centre Street there were 4 or 5 bicycles across the travel lane. She stated that they did not move over for traffic. Officer checked the area, nothing found.

Sherborn

Erratic Operation- 7:14 a.m.

Coolidge Street and North Main Street- Reporting party stated that a black Ford pick up truck was driving erratically all over the road.

Animal Complaint- 9:02 a.m.

Lake Street- Reporting party stated she has a chipmunk in their family room. Animal removed from home.

 

Friday- July 15, 2011

Dover

Motor Vehicle Crash- 11:59 a.m.

Dedham Street and Centre Street- Motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Operator extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Noise Complaint- 10:33 p.m.

Meeting House Hill Road- Caller believes she heard a gunshot. Officer sent to check the area. Nothing found.

Sherborn

Assist Other Agency- 1:26 p.m.

Western Avenue- Officers assisted State Police with marijuana eradication.

 

Saturday- July 16, 2011

Dover

Motor Vehicle Crash- 11:24 a.m.

Centre Street- Report of a motor vehicle accident. Car vs. bicyclist. Minor injuries. Bicyclist transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham.

Complaint- 2:42 p.m.

Farm Street- Resident reported having a verbal altercation with a bicyclist. Resident wanted the incident logged.

Larceny Over $250- 4:17 p.m.

Miller Hill Road- Possible larceny by check. Information taken and given to a department detective.

Sherborn

Erratic Operation- 6:31 p.m.

Western Avenue- Caller reported a green Honda operating erratically. Vehicle gone on arrival.

 

Sunday- July 17, 2011

Dover

Erratic Operation- 4:53 p.m.

Claybrook Road and Main Street- Caller reported a motorcycle with a passenger was driving in an unsafe manner on Claybrook Road. Nothing found.

Erratic Operation- 9:21 p.m.

Walpole Street and Hartford Street- Caller reported a gray Porsche was passing cars on the roadway. Vehicle was headed towards County Street. Officers to check area.

Sherborn

Assist Other Agency- 3:15 a.m.

Tea Party Lane, Holliston- Assisted Holliston PD. Reporting party reported a male broke into their house and is still inside. Male taken into custody.

9-1-1 Fire- 9:36 a.m.

Spywood Road- Brush fire reported. House checked/resident not home. [Possible sale]. House is secure.

Dover

Identity Theft- 12:18 p.m.

Riga Road- Reporting party came to the station to report identity theft.

Sherborn

Vandalism- 7:36 a.m.

Dunkin Donuts manager reported a minivan hit the over hang sign near the drive through window on Saturday July 16.
