Potted Plant, 'Manhunt,' Prompt Police Calls

Our OMG PD column provides a round-up of some of the stranger police calls in the region.

Nothing to see here. Just playing hide-and-seek with the guys!

In Milford this week, a resident called police, concerned because a man was hiding under her car. The man told her he was playing "manhunt" with his friends. Police responded, and confirmed the people were playing hide-and-seek. (The police log didn't indicate the age of the man, but for column-writing purposes, we're going to assume he's an adult. Because, you know, playing hide and seek under people's cars with your grown-up friends is completely normal.)

The case of the stolen potted plant and the scratched car.

Northborough police responded recently to a call from a man who'd returned to his car to find a bag of potting soil emptied on the trunk, along with the plant that went with it. The trunk had been scratched significantly. The culprit, the potted plant, was reported stolen the previous night. There are currently no suspects.
