UPDATED: Rollover Accident On Coolidge Street In Sherborn Sends Woman To Hospital

A 24-year-old Sherborn woman was sent to the hospital late Thursday night when her car rolled over on Coolidge Street in Sherborn hitting a tree and then landing in a poultry and rabbit pen located at Sweet Meadow Farm.

According to Sherborn Police, the woman, who was the only person involved in the crash, was using her phone and texting when she drove off the road.

"The vehicle left the roadway, hit a large tree and rolled over. The vehicle then rolled through two fences and into an animal pen area where it came to rest on its roof," said Sherborn Police Sergeant Luke Tedstone. 

The woman was taken by ambulance to Metro West Medical Center in Framingham with minor injuries.

The woman is being charged for motor vehicle violations, according to Tedstone.

Sherborn Police received a call of a motor vehicle accident on 111 Coolidge Street at 10:50 p.m. Thursday.

The owner of the animals in the pen said they were unharmed, Tedstone said.
