Sherborn Police Log: Animal Calls, Erratic Driving and Bank Account Compromised

The following information was provided by the Sherborn Police Department. Any arrests mentioned do not indicate convictions.

Sunday, October 14

Found Dog (3:07 p.m.) - A caller reported finding a chocolate lab on South Main St. The dog has tags on it and the caller said he's willing to return the dog to its owner. The owner was contacted so the caller could meet up with him to reunite the dog with its owner.

Erratic Driver (5:50 a.m.) - A caller reports a speeding motor vehicle driving erratically towards Holliston. The caller gave a description and a partial plate. Sherborn Police notified Holliston Police so they could try to stop the car.

Snake (1:15 p.m.) - A caller reported a poisonous snake in the middle of the roadway on Perry St. The Animal Control Officer was notified and came to capture the snake. It was identified as a non-poisonous water snake.

Bank Account Compromised (3:34 p.m.) - A Village Way resident reported that their bank account had been compromised. An officer is currently investigating the incident and has been in touch with the bank.
