Sherborn Police Log: Coyotes, Doorbell Prank and an OUI Arrest

The following information was provided by the Sherborn Police Department for the week of June 25-July 2. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, July 2 

Ding Dong Ditch? (10:53 p.m.) - A resident of Woodland Street reported to Sherborn Police that someone had rung their doorbell around 10:30 p.m. that night. The individual did not see anyone in the area, according to police reports; upon investigating, police found three youths in the vicinity and brought them back to Woodland Street home to address the issue. 

Coyotes Spotted (9:38 a.m.) - An Old Orchard Road resident reported confronting several coyotes that were in her front yard around 1 a.m. The coyotes, she said, were attacking a cat, according to report.s

Saturday, June 30

Tree in Road (8:15 a.m.) - A caller reported to police that a tree limb was hanging in the road over telephone wires on Nason Hill Road, according to reports. NSTAR and Verizon were notified to help.

Driver Arrested for OUI (12:10 a.m.) - Police arrested a 65-year-old Holliston man on Bullard Street for driving under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Police intercepted the man after receiving a report from Medfield Police that an erratic driver was headed into Sherborn. 

Tuesday, June 26

Man Urinates on Driveway (4:18 p.m.) - Police received a report of a white male wearing a grey tee shirt and blue pants who allegedly urinated on a driveway of a Western Avenue home. The person was found later in the town of Framingham, and police subsequently notified Framingham Police, according to reports.
