Sherborn Police Log: Dog With Broken Back Bites Three People

The following information was provided by the Sherborn Police Department. When arrests are mentioned it does not indicate that there have been convictions.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

4:11 p.m.: Police received a report of a truck at the end of South Main Street. Officers checked the vehicle and were unable to make contact with its owner and determined it could be a moving truck. The vehicle reportedly left the area at 6:38 p.m.

4:40 p.m.: A caller reported an injured deer in the roadway on Western Avenue. The animal ran into the woods before police arrived.

6:27 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a dog with a broken back after being struck by a car. The animal reportedly bit its owner, the driver of the car and a Millis Police officer. The Sherborn Animal Control inspector was notified.
