Transformer Explodes, Setting Utility Pole on Fire

The Dover Police Department provided the following information. Patch prints all arrests.

Wednesday, April 10

10 a.m.: School personnel called police reporting two middle-aged men in the student lot taking down license plate numbers. An officer located the two men walking the track behind the school and recorded their information.

8:30 a.m.: A caller stated a person in a vehicle parked outside his home was taking photos of his house then drove away. Officers made contact with the vehicle's owner, who said his wife was taking comparison photos because their home was built by the same contractor. 

11:44 a.m.: A resident on Claybrook Road requested animal control to retrieve a yellow lab from her yard.

10:56 p.m.: A caller reported a transformer explosion and utility pole on fire on Peasant Street. Firefighters responded to the scene.
