Dover Water Main Testing May Cause Water Discoloration

Some residents may notice some discoloration in the water, during Thursday's water main tests, which can be flushed out through the faucet.

The Dover Water Department will be exercising the gate valves on the streets around the town's center that are on the town's water system Thursday.

The testing will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will last approximately 2 hours.

The effected streets are: Centre Street, Springdale Avenue, Whiting Road, Dedham Street, Spring Lane, Meeting House Hill Road, and Church Street.

Residents on the system may notice some discoloration in the water which can be flushed out through the faucet.

Any questions should be directed to Building Maintenance at 508-785-0032 extension 235.

The Dover Police Department has asked that they not be called directly on the matter, except in the case of emergency.
