The following event, courtesy of the Town Dover Website, provides information on the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to be held today:

The clergy of the Dover churches have organized a ceremony to recognize the 10th anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

This will be a local opportunity for the Dover Fire and Police Departments, the area houses of worship and townspeople to gather together to remember that day and honor the men and women whose lives were sacrificed.

The ceremony will be held at the flag pole on the Springdale Avenue side of the Town House.

Participants in this remembrance program will gather at 11:15am and the services will commence at 11:30am and will be completed at 12:00 noon. The planned services will be simple, prayerful and peaceful.

In case of inclement weather, the remembrance services will be held in the Great Hall at the Town House.

All are welcome.
