Sherborn Board of Health Does Inspections

We report Board of Health inspections on a regular basis.

All restaurants in Sherborn passed the Board of Health inspection on May 11 and 14 this year. The inspector however, gave a few reminders or praises to the following establishments:

The Sherborn Sandwich Company: One pizza had been kept out for longer than an hour not on a heat source at 135 degrees. Also, the inspector noted, “Odors evident near open drains including bathroom. Septic system to be evaluated at once.”

Pine Hill School: “As with past inspections, this food facility is found in high standards,” the inspector said.

Rustic Pizza: The establishment was reminded that if the staff does multiple tasks, they must wash their hands in between.

Sherborn Fuel: The inspector reviewed “placement of tobacco and cigar signage to expose entire sign.”

Sherborn Library Arts and Crafts Fair: According to the inspector, there was “discussion with cotton candy, hot dog and hamburg vendors on hand washing, water waste disposal, allergen requirements, and storage and display.”

Sherborn Inn: The establishment keeps, “very high standards,” according to the inspector. The inspector noted an inspection will be conducted during a slow period to review logs including “grease management, temperature, and dishwasher temperature.”

C + L Frosty: The ice cream establishment “keeps very high standards,” the inspector wrote.

Dowse Orchards, Dunkin Donuts and Sunshine Farm also passed the inspection with no further comments.
