Spraying for Mosquitoes This Week

Sherborn will have streets sprayed for mosquitoes Thursday night.

Written by Mary MacDonald

Sherborn is among the towns that will get spraying of insecticide this month for mosquitoes.

Spraying is tentatively scheduled for selected streets in town on Thursday, July 8 as well as the next few Thursdays, according to a post on the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project website.

The specific street list should be available by 3 p.m. on the mosquito project website. The streets are added by citizen request. The mosquito project does not perform town-wide spraying, according to its site. Residents can ask for exclusion from the spraying, too, by contacting the project.

Residents can also call to find out where the spraying will occur: The spray areas scheduled for that night will be listed on the mosquito project phone system after 3:30 p.m. Call 508-393-3055.
