Charles River School Celebrates 60th Annual Fall Fair

The annual fair coincides with school's 100th anniversary this year.

The 60th Annual Charles River School Fair saw sun, fun, rides, slides, barbecue and a whole lot more on a beautiful breezy Saturday afternoon in Dover.

Susan Hughes, the associate director of development and admissions at the school, said, “This is our 60th year of the fair and 100th anniversary of the school, so this is kind of a big deal.”

She said she was happy to see members of the community at the fair participating in the all the activities, such as a cake walk, arts and crafts, amusement rides, pony rides and games.

The fair also featured a large yard sale that took up the entire gymnasium.

Dubois said that whatever was not sold at the yard sale would be donated to three children’s charities: The Epilepsy Foundation, Circle of Hope and Sweet Peep.

Dover resident Paul Venton said he has been coming to the fair with his children for eight years and they always have a great time.

Dave Lowe came with his children Rachel and Ethan. Lowe and Ethan both got airbrush tattoos.
