the Lincoln-Sudbury School Committee is closing in on filling its vacant director of finance and operations position.
According to a press release three finalists will interview for the vacancy this week: two tomorrow beginning at 6 p.m. and one on Thursday at 7 a.m. in Conference Room B of the high school. The School Committee will deliberate the candidacies on Friday at 7 a.m. in Conference Room B.
"We had 13 applicants for the position, of whom five were screened by the Sub-Committee tasked with recommending finalists to the School Committee," said Chairman and Sub-Committee member Radha Gargeya. "It was a deep pool of very qualified and broadly experienced candidates."

The finalists for the position are:
- Glenn Fratto, business administrator, Methuen Public Schools;
- Liam Hurley, director of business services, Shrewsbury Public Schools;
- Heidi Perkins, assistant business manager, Dover-Sherborn Schools.
The Committee hopes to appoint a candidate to the position by the end of next week to allow a smooth transition as current Director Michael Connelly departs to begin the role of business director for the North Reading K-12 district effective July 1.

The Sub-Committee consisted of two administrators, two faculty members, two support staff and two School Committee members. Curriculum and Scheduling Coordinator Leslie Belcher co-Chaired the Committee alongside Math Department Coordinator Virginia Blake. Belcher will retire from the district on July 1 and Blake will succeed her.
