Dover-Sherborn Theatre Program to Host 'Dinner Theatre'

During the last week of August, the Dover-Sherborn Drama department is set to host "Dinner Theatre"

A group of 42 Dover-Sherborn students will perform the play "Murder in the House of Horrors” over the course of four evenings and two afternoons at the end of August, according to Hometownweekly.net.

“Unlike a traditional play or musical, the cast will remain in character throughout the evening. These kids are developing critical acting skills in comedy and quick thinking, all the while having a great summer experience with their peers from the middle and high school. No rehearsal is ever the same and it’s hugely rewarding to watch them develop as actors. Their improvisational skills are truly amazing,” Scott Walker, a Dover-Sherborn Middle School English teacher who directs the cast, said.

Tickets are $20, which includes a three-course meal, are available at Walgreens in Sherborn and Dover Market.

Performances at 6:30 p.m. are set for Aug. 21 to 24. Matinee performances at 12:30 p.m. are scheduled for Aug. 24 and 25.
