Gov. Patrick Pays a Visit to Minuteman High

Gov. Deval Patrick met with students and faculty and stopped in to hear about what students are learning.

Gov. Deval Patrick stopped by Minuteman High School on Thursday to meet with students and faculty and to check out what some students have been studying.

Patrick was at the school to highlight his administration's efforts to prepare students for high demand careers after school, a notice from the governor's office states.

While at Minuteman, Patrick toured the school and stopped in to speak with students. He visited a biotech lab where students told him about their work in forensic research and DNA studies. He also visited the school's green workshop and spoke to students learning how to install solar panels.

"We need the skills that are being developed here," Patrick said after the tour. "We need them for our economy and for our communities and we need to take them to an even great scale. I'm proud of the work being done here and the students."
