Site Work Begins on New D-S Athletic Campus

The project comprises three phases that will include new tennis courts, new fields and other upgrades.

With school now out for the summer, site work has begun at the athletic campus.

Bulldozers started preparing the stadium field for a new synthetic turf field, which is part of the first phase of a multiphase DS Athletic Campus Master Plan project funded by private donations, according project spokesman Jim Byrnes in a recent announcement from the Dover-Sherborn Boosters.

Phase 2, meanwhile, will include moving the current four tennis courts and building two new courts, improving the baseball and softball fields and constructing the Junction Street Fields.

Phase 3 will include the creation of two new multi-purpose grass fields on Farm Street, enhancing netting as well as other upgrades.

Updates on the progress of the project will be available through the Dover-Sherborn Boosters website.
