Boys Basketball Loses By 1 Point to Rival Medfield

D-S fell to Medfield, 47-46, Tuesday night.

The Medfield boys basketball team went into a very quiet and then a very hostile environment at D-S High School and came out with a one point win over the Raiders Tuesday night.

Raiders fans held a "Silent Night" where they withheld from making any noise or conversation until D-S scored their tenth point of the game. Once junior Ben Maletta hit the second of two free throws in the first quarter, giving D-S their tenth point of the game, the Raider fans erupted in celebration and remained fairly raucous for the remainder of the game.

D-S was shooting lights out in the first half hitting five shots from behind the arc - including four from Raider Ned Linehan. In the second half their offense went cold and Medfield stepped up defensively, allowing only 15 points in the final two quarters.

D-S was led by Chris Flight who had 14 points, including 9 of the Raiders 10 points in the fourth quarter.
