Boys Basketball to Advance to Playoffs with Win on Senior Night

The girls' team came away with a road victory over Millis.

The D-S boys' varsity basketball team will advance to the postseason tournament after getting their tenth win of the season Tuesday night.

The Raiders (10-9) beat Millis, 64-38, on Senior Night in what could be their final home game of the season.

As part of Senior Night, seniors Matt Heinlein, Chris Flight and Nate Jenkins were honored on the court for their contributions to the team.

Jenkins led D-S with 19 points and 7 rebounds in the game. Chris Flight had 12 points and 7 assists and junior Ned Linehan chipped in with 9 points in the game.

The D-S Lady Raiders defeated Millis, 59-37, on the road Tuesday night.

Senior captain AJ Dessert led all scorers with 15 points. Dessert had an all-around solid night with 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocked shots for D-S.

Senior captain Andrea Marx put up 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals while sophomores Hannah Crowley and Kate Masterson chipped in with 10 points apiece.

D-S is now 7-12 on the season.

The boys' team will finish the regular season on the road against Westwood on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The girls' will play their final game of the season at home Friday at 6:30 p.m.
