D-S Boys' and Girls' Track Fall to Rival Medfield

The boys' lost, 97-39, and the girls' were outscored, 92-44.

The Dover-Sherborn boys' and girls' varsity track and field team lost handily to Medfield Thursday.

The boys' lost, 97-39, and the girls' were outscored, 92-44.

Despite the lopsided score the Raiders got solid outputs from several athletes on the day.

D-S won five out of six throwing events on the day; Dan Carroll in the discus,  Chris Chisholm in the javelin, Cristyn Joline in the shot put, Gabrielle McElrath in the javelin and Lauren Mitchell in the discus all won their events, respectively.

For the racers, two girls came out on top. Chandler Wood came in first in the 400m and Julia Pearson was tops in the 2 mile.

To date, three girls, four boys and the girls' 4x400m relay have qualified for the D4 Championship Meet in May including: Olivia Cannon (1 mile and 2 mile),  Chandler Wood (400m), Julia Pearson (2 mile), 4x400m girls' relay (Jamerson, Stevens, Cunningham, Wood), Toby Howe (800m), Will Mitchell (200m), Dan Carroll (discus) and Chris Chisholm (javelin).

Thier next meet will be Monday April 9 at home against Norton 3:30 p.m.
