D-S Boys And Girls Track Fall To Westwood

Dover-Sherborn fell to Westwood in the boys meet, 84-52 and girls meet 98.5-37.5, on Monday.

On the boys’ side, senior Will Bain led the way winning the 100m (11.4) and long jump (18’5.5”) as well as anchoring the winning 4x100m relay (47.1) along with juniors Chris Ouellet and Sean Donovan and senior Matt Moon. Moon also placed second in his debut at triple jump (34’1”). Senior Mark Moruzzi won the 110m hurdles (17.69) and placed second in the 400m hurdles (63.8). Senior Steve O’Connor won the high jump (6’0”) and placed third in the 200m (24.7). Other winners included senior Mike Rudin in the javelin (143’2”), and freshman Dan Carroll in the discus (123’9”).

On the girls’ side, sophomores Lee Milne and Crystin Joline won the 2 mile (12:09.6) and the shot put (26’1”), respectively. Senior Sarah Warden placed second in the 200m (28.2), tied for third in the high jump (4’6”) and ran the 4x100m team to a photo finish victory in the 4x100m (55.8) with junior Molly Heer, freshman Ashley DeLuca, and sophomore Kali Sherburne. Sherburne also placed second in the long jump (13'11").
