D-S Hockey Falls At Home To Ashland, 6-2

The Raiders outshot Ashland, 34-17, in a losing effort.

The D-S boys varsity hockey team lost to Ashland at home Saturday night, 6-2.

Junior forwards Jared Spence and Cole Tibbetts scored the goals for the Raiders with junior defenseman George Marken and senior captain P.J. Copponi picking up the assists.

The Raiders, who trailed, 5-0, heading into the third period, outshot their opponent, 34-17, but not enough found the back of the net for them to pull out the win.

The Raiders are now 4-6-2 on the season with the loss. 

Their next game will be on Monday at home against Wayland. They fell 7-2 against Wayland in their last meeting Jan. 17.
