Girls Win Div. 3 State Championship

The girls scored 20 goals and only allowed one in postseason play.

The Dover-Sherborn girls varsity soccer team won the MIAA Div. 3 state final Friday night beating Hopedale, 2-1, at Foley Field in Worcester.

The girls got goals from their offensive stars Maddie Dunn and Taylor Coutts.

Freshman goalie Meghan Hall, who had five shutout victories throughout the tournament, allowed her first goal of the playoffs in the game.

After the final whistle blew the girls all piled on top of one another in celebration. They were jumping up in the air, hugging and screaming with joy.

The girls dominated throughout the tournament scoring 20 goals and only allowing one goal in six games.
