Millis-Hopedale Shuts Out D-S

The Raiders were shutout for the first time this season.

The Raiders varsity football team got shutout by TVL Small leader Millis-Hopedale, 28-0, Friday night at Frothingham Field.

D-S couldn't find a way to stop Mohawk running back Jimmy Perkins who scored two rushing touchdowns in the game, one a 45-yard run and the other a 35-yard run.

The Raiders got burned on big plays from Perkins on the ground and by quarterback Ian Strom through the air.

D-S primarily threw the ball throughout the game and were able to move the ball down the field. However, they weren't able to find the end zone, suffering their first shutout of the season.

The Raiders are now 2-5 on the season while Millis-Hopedale remains unbeaten at 7-0.

D-S will face another TVL Small opponent in Norton next week at home at 7:00 p.m.
