PHOTOS: D-S Skates to 3-3 Tie Against Rival Medfield
Medfield came back from 3-0 deficit to pull even with Raiders and remain unbeaten.
FRANKLIN – On an off night and in a 3-0 hole three and a half minutes into the second period, the Medfield High School boys' hockey team rallied for three goals to pull even in a 3-3 tie with Dover-Sherborn Wednesday.
In a battle of Tri-Valley League unbeatens, D-S (4-1-2, 2-0-2) took an early 1-0 lead into the first intermission over Medfield (7-0-1, 4-0-1) and increased that advantage to 3-0 early in the second period, scoring two goals in 51 seconds.
Medfield – sparked by a 5-on-3-man advantage – rallied for two goals in the second period, including a powerplay goal with 4:52 remaining in the period. In the third, Medfield continued to press the D-S defense and netted the equalizer with 9:34 to go. Medfield had an opportunity to take the lead after going on the power play with 54.7 seconds remaining in the game but the D-S defense held up long enough to earn the tie.

D-S will be back on the ice at home against Ashland on Jan. 14 at 7:20 p.m.
