PMC to Pass Through Dover This Weekend

Find out what routes will be affected Saturday and Sunday as 5,500 cyclists ride through town.

Believe it or not, nearly 5,500 cyclists will be riding through Dover this weekend. 

The cyclists will be riding as part of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge in an effort to raise $36 million for adult and pediatric cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 

The routes will affect the following roads in Dover this weekend:

PMC Route: Wellesley to Dighton - Saturday, Aug. 4

  • Between 7:10 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. riders will pass through Dover Road in Dover and continue towards Main Street onto Farm Street down to Junction Street in Dover.  

PMC Route: Bourne to Wellesley - Sunday, Aug. 5

  • Between 8:05 a.m. and 1:35 p.m., riders will pass through County Street, onto Walpole Street, down to Centre Street, through to Dedham Street and continue toward Willow Street.  

PMC Route: Wellesley Sunday Loop - Sunday, Aug. 5

  • Between 7:45 and 8:40 a.m., riders will pass through Dover Road in Dover, down to Main Street, through Farm Street and continue to Junction Road. 
  • Between 9:10 a.m. and 12:25 p.m., riders will pass through County Street, onto Walpole Street, down to Centre Street, through to Dedham Street and continue toward Willow Street.
