Raiders Hockey Ties Holliston 3-3

The Raiders skated to a tie on Saturday.

Sluggish first periods have plagued the Panthers hockey team this season, but the mid-game surge that comes after has been a saving grace.

On Saturday's game against Dover-Sherborn, Panthers took the ice at Veterans' Arena in Franklin in the second period down 2-1 after being out played in the game's first 20 minutes.

"Luckily goalie Jamie Losanno keeps us in it, making 12 saves," coach Rick LeBlanc said in an email.

The Panthers tied the score in the second period with a goal by Sophomore Forward, Tyler Perry.

Dover-Sherborn struck first in the third, taking back the lead. But Junior forward Max Turcotte scored his 11th goal of the season with seven minutes left to play, evening the score and ending the game in a tie.

"Dover-Sherborn is a great team and to come out of this game with a tie and control half the game is definitely  a positive feeling. We hope to build on this as we go into a busy week," LeBlanc said in an email.

D-S will be back on the ice Wednesday at home against Medway.
