Note: The following is a release from the DS Boosters.

D-S boys varsity lacrosse captains Jeff Williams and Billy Polk have recently been named All-Americans by US Lacrosse. Williams and Polk led the Raiders to a #1 seed in the 2011 MIAA Boys Lacrosse East Division 3

According to the US Lacrosse website, "A US Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A US Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship,"

D-S head coach Brian McLaughlin had these comments: "Jeff Williams and and Billy Polk became the 2nd and 3rd All-Americans in Dover-Sherborn history. Garrett Akie was the first. Both players have worked extremely hard during the season and in the off season. Billy basically does everything for us; he is a workhorse! Jeff is a 3 year starter and one of the most consistent goalies I have seen. He is always in position and ready to make saves. They were chosen by the area league reps, and there are 21 positions given away in all of eastern Massachusetts."
