Raiders Lose TVL Small Matchup To Norton

The Raiders had the lead in the fourth quarter but gave up two touchdowns in the final four minutes of the game.

Dover-Sherborn lost a hard fought game to Norton, 20-7, Friday night.

The Raiders had a 7-6 lead with under four minutes to go in the fourth quarter when Norton recovered a Rogers Boylan fumble at their own 44 yard line.

On the very next play Norton runningback Joe Colley bolted up the middle for a 56-yard touchdown run to give the Lancers the lead.

With just over two minutes left in the game and D-S down, 12-7, Raiders quarterback Will Scatchard threw an interception that was run back for a touchdown putting the game out of reach.

Both teams played strong defensively in what was a back-and-forth game game but it was the Lancers defense who played well enough for a full 60 minutes to get the win.

Norton upped their record to 3-5 on the season while the Raiders fell to 2-6.

The Raiders next game will be Friday Nov. 4 at home against Westwood at 7:00 p.m.
