Dover-Sherborn High School football coaches and players taught future Raiders fundamentals during a fun four-day camp.

After three days of hard work learning the fundamentals of the game, 50 campers at the 2012 Fall Raider Football Camp were given the opportunity to compete in the Raider Football Camp Combine on the last night of camp.

Coach Joey Schotland, who will be entering his second year as the head coach at DSHS, led the camp for students entering grades 6-9. He was assisted by his staff and some of the DSHS players. The camp was also held last year.

"We're trying to build a program," Schotland said. "It starts at the middle school. We want to be competitive year in and year out."

Schotland set up the combine much like the NFL Combine is set up. Players competed in the pro agility drill, the longest kick, the longest throw and the 40-yard dash. Results from last year's camp had been saved, so Schotland stressed that players were competing against themselves by looking at their improvement, as opposed to competing against each other.

The camp was successful, as the players all had fun and learned a lot.
