Sherborn Snappers Swim Team Open for Registration

The following was provided by the Sherborn Snappers.

Registration is now open for the Sherborn Snappers, a summer recreational, competitive swim team that is open to swimmers ages 6-18 residing in the towns of Sherborn and Dover.

The team practices three days per week at Farm Pond in Sherborn and competes in meets twice per week during the months of July and early August.

The Snappers program is dedicated to helping swimmers of all levels achieve their personal best.

In order to join the Snappers team, a participant must be able to swim 25 yards (10 years and under) and 50 yards (11 years and older) in a stroke (freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke) without stopping or touching the bottom.

This year’s season will begin on Monday June 25, and conclude on Sunday August 12 with an awards ceremony. 

We are delighted to announce the 2012 coaching staff: Stephen Mayfield (Head Coach); Kate West and Mary Keough (Assistant Head Coaches); Allie Levine, Greg Michalowski, Emily Hands, and Caroline Body (Assistant Coaches); and Johnny Schroeder and Jill West (Volunteer Coaches). 

The Snappers registration from can be found online at the Snappers section of Dover-Sherborn Boosters website (www.dsboosters.com).

Fees and instructions for mailing are listed at the bottom of the registration form. Please make sure you send along proof of residency with the registration form. 

The Snappers encourages good sportsmanship, teamwork, goal-setting and fun!
