Arthur Patch is not posting these stories to drive page hits. Patch is running these articles because they let all the local staff go. Patch used to have a local editor and staff for each site but now has only one or two employees for each state. They no longer have the volume of local news because they have no one to cover it so they fill with news from other Patches. Local news would drive a lot more page hits then recycled news from another state.

I've always wanted to meet Jesus Christ. And here all along he's been posting on what I read. Cool.

WOW!! Its not everyday that JC posts on The Patch site then agrees with what I have been saying for a couple of years now. I mean the cite only reposts other articles. I have seen it countless times. All you have to do is take any local news story, then Google it and you will find the same article verbatim on the local news or tv/radio webpage. I know they only have a skeleton staff available so its understandable. I just wish they could focus on doing something other than just acting as yet another news aggregator and a bulletin board for every bake sale, used car lot, and foreclosure home in the US.
